Are RI Computer Tech’s technicians certified?
Yes. We have technicians that are A+, MCSE, MCP, Net+ and MCT Certified. We don’t employ “local geeks” or “computer nerds”. We hire certified computer technicians and IT Professionals. If our employees happen to fall into those categories it is only by chance and not the reason they work for RI Computer Tech.
Do you have onsite services for businesses only?
No. Our onsite services are for home users and businesses. We provide the same professional, certified technicians for all of our clients. Forget unplugging all those wires and sending your computer off to get fixed (with a 1-2 week wait). We come to you and fix your PC while you watch. Simple, easy and effective service.
How long do I have to wait to get my computer back?
Almost always, there is no wait. Your computer stays at your home or business and we fix it at your location (hence why were are considered an onsite service). Should there arise an issue of parts availability or if the nature of the problem is too severe, we may need to take your computer for up to 48 hours.
Do you work late on weeknights or weekends?
Yes. We understand that many people have a work schedule that doesn’t allow for conventional 9-5 appointments. We can schedule your appointment for any day from 5am - 9pm. Emergency service is available 24/7 and 365 days a year.
I want to learn computer basics like Windows, email and the internet. Can you help?
Yes. We offer computer classes right in your home or business! If you want to learn the basics or more, our one on one classes are well worth the time. We bring the materials, you supply the computer. In a one-on-one teaching environment, the focus is you and your needs and questions.
Do you warranty the custom computers you build?
Most definitely. Our custom built PC’s come with a two year parts warranty and your first year includes free onsite service plus free telephone technical support. Extended warranties available.
Do I have to schedule an appointment first?
Yes. We are not a walk-in computer store. We have computer technicians throughout Rhode Island ready to serve you. All you need is an appointment. We can usually schedule your appointment for in as little a 24 hours of calling. Emergency service is extra but we can be at your location within 2-3 hours.
Do you offer telephone technical support?
Yes. Our computer systems come with free telephone technical support (M-F, 9am - 5pm Eastern time). All other customers may call for a free consultation, price quote, information or to schedule an appointment. We will be offering a free technical support forum on this website in the near future.
